Four Hands is a performance piece developed collaboratively by Catherine Laws and Teresa Brayshaw. It explores the role of touch in the relationship between performers, the piano, and the sound produced: the nuances of touch in producing piano sound, touch as intercepting and changing sound, touch as a means of listening to the resonance through the piano body, and the perception of touch as affecting our response to piano sound.
