Lullabies 2012

‘Lullabies’ is a performance-based video that shows migrant women who married Korean men singing lullabies from their birth-countries to their babies in public. These videos are based around contrasts: city and lullaby, the personal and the public, and the diverse cultural backgrounds of the mothers themselves. I think of this film as a small archive documenting the process of multiculturalism in South Korea.
